About Dark Bargain Games
Dark Bargain Games is a small 3D design studio created and run by me, Doug Bowman! I specialize in creating 3D printable terrain for tabletop gaming compatible with a wide range of tabletop games.
I’ve been painting miniatures and playing tabletop games since the early 1990s. My first forays into the world of tabletop gaming terrain involved turning a model railroad table in my basement into an Underhive battlefield and I’ve been hooked on creating fantastic worlds to play games in ever since.
I started out selling 3D printable files under the brand name of Top Doug Design, but found that this wasn’t really a great name to grab the attention of tabletop gamers–Who is this Doug person? What does he design?
For this reason, I launched Dark Bargain Games to make my terrain easier to find and reach a wider audience for the worlds I want to bring to your tabletop.
My goal at Dark Bargain Games is to create 3D printable worlds that allow you to immerse yourself in whatever game you’re playing. I strive to design terrain pieces that look great, are a joy to paint, and play well with the rules of your favorite game systems. Whenever possible, I like to feature photos of printed models, instead of only showing digital renders, so that you can see how the models will actually look once you print them; I try to design with painters in mind and I want these models to look as great on your tabletop as they looked in my head when I was dreaming them up.
